More Trains More Services (MTMS) South

The More Trains More Services program from Transport for NSW (TfNSW) aims to modernise the rail network in Sydney, creating high capacity, turn up and go services for many customers.  Infrastructure improvements are being made across the network, including modifications to track, signalling, stabling facilities, and station platforms.  As part of this program of projects, JMDR has been the primary partner for delivering signalling design, construction, testing, and commissioning services. To date has completed Kiama LNIF, Thirroul LNIF, and Mortdale works.

The MTMS (package 2) started July 2020, and the first commissioning weekend for the JMDR team was mid-August. The team has completed many Commissioning events covering 9 areas. JMDR has re-staged multiple times due to Covid and successfully added Kingsgrove and Thirroul Rationalisation works, ASDO construction & certification works to our scope, and additional LNIF works at Kiama Port Kembla, Shellharbour, and Dapto are also now in progress.

MTMS2 final commissioning is still planned for July 2022 during a nine-day closedown, the 2-year mark for JMDR - accomplished with a successful and trusted working relationship with TfNSW.
