    Dilip Goyal is the founder and passionate leader of the JMDR Group. He has over 33 years of experience in the rail and engineering industry having worked as a Graduate Engineer, Project Engineer, Test Engineer, Signals Construction Manager, Commissioning Manager and Program Manager of Railway Signalling in NSW. Having delivered many signalling projects from concept to handover he is now managing JMDR's group business in Australia, UK, India and South East Asia.

    Richard has over 24 years of experience in the field of Railway Signalling with a strong background in signalling management including signalling Design, Construction Works, Maintenance, Testing, and Commissioning. Having previously been responsible for Civil and Electrical program delivery for RailCorp and the management of maintenance for all the rail disciplines for the North region within Sydney Trains, Richard now leads the JMDR team in Australia, NZ and South East Asia as General Manager (Engineering).

    Gary has over 25 years experience in the initiation, design, construction and commissioning of major rail projects. Additionally, he has in a variety of construction management roles and six years management experience with design consultancies.

  • Vilas Sawant - General Manager India and Middle East and UK (Engineering)

    Vilas has more than 30 years of Railway Signalling experience. He is currently Responsible for managing the design coordination, design and independent design check, resource planning & project management of our Indian and UK operations.

  • Trevor Moore - Senior Signals Manager

    Trevor is  a Senior Signalling Manager / Engineer withover 42 years as a professional engineering railway Signalling and systems. Trevor has been responsible for creating and managing Signalling standards for ARTC and he is also the Chairman of the Train Control Systems Standing Committee for the RailIndustry Safety & Standards Board.His experience covers - Signalling design, train control systems,  construction projects, maintenance practices and documentation, signals equipment type approvals, signals competency management systems and the introduction of new technology. He is the Engineers Australia 2018 Professional Electrical Engineer of theYear.

     

  • Steve Cotton - Engineering Manager

    Steve has more than 40 years railway signalling experience, across the UK and Australasian rail networks, specialising in verification and validation of various technologies, including NX Relay, SSI, Westrace Mk2, Westlock, Smartlock 400T, Microlok II and ETCS. Within Australia, Steve has held senior leadership positions with Alstom, UGL, Aurecon, Siemens and AECOM.

    Adam is a highly motivated individual with a can-do, positive attitude and proven ability of successful project delivery. He has worked on high profile complex projects such as Epping to Chatswood Rail Link, North Shore Headways and Homebush Turnback and most recently was the Commissioning Manager for the Parramatta Turnback project.

  • Dean Farquharson - Testing & Commissioning Manager

    Dean has 29 years' experience in the railway industry. His experience includes: Testing & commission tracks, Signals, Trainstops, Points and CBI Interlocking: identifying defects, and managing and monitoring defect closeout; Failure investigations  and follow up; development of Signal Asset Management Plans; defining scopes and estimating costs for Singal Projects; and financial budgeting and analysis of projects.

  • Richard Hobby- Training & Competency Manager

    With over 16 year of experience within Competency Management Richard’s role is to provide competence management and support services to both clients and employees in the areas that JMDR operate. Prior to joining JMDR he was responsible for the management of the internationally accredited IRSE Licensing Scheme at IRSE UK. Richard also undertakes the role of IRSE Assessing Agency Manager.

    Bruce has more than 40 years of rail industry experience in different Australian Rail Systems and overseas.  This includes asset and project management roles, and SafeWorking and possession/closedown management, with specific skills in quality and safety systems covering WHS, Rail Safety, Track Access planning and closedown management. Bruce has developed skills with experience in the establishment and management of Registered Training Organisations RTO) delivering SafeWorking training and assessment and is an Approved Trainer under the TfNSW Approved Training Provider Program.

    Raymond has 45 years of professional Signalling Experience. He is a highly motivated signalling Competency Engineer experienced in Maintenance, Test and Commissioning and trainer with experience in training small and large groups across diverse signalling departments and safe working. Proven success in leveraging educational theories and methodologies to design, develop, and deliver successful training programs and integrate instructional technology to provide onsite and virtual training.

    Iouri has total 35 years of experience in the field of Railway Signalling Design and Testing. He has considerable experience with the application of CBI technology as well as more conventional relay or mechanical based systems. He is also an experience tester in all aspects of signalling testing from individual equipment through to the formal principles test.

    With over 25 years experience as a signalling engineer in the rail industry, Tim has a comprehensive knowledge of developing, designing, verifying and testing high quality signalling systems. He has a proven track record of successfully preparing and executing projects in accordance with company procedures and specific client requirements, with an emphasis on safety, timeliness and cost efficiency.Tim is an effective team leader and member, motivator and facilitator,with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    Darren has over 30 years of experience in the field of Signalling Design and in the NSW rail industry. Prior to joining JMDR he was employed by Sydney Trains in the role of Technical Specialist. Darren has recently completed a secondment with TfNSW Control Systems where again he undertook the role of the SME. Darren’s signalling design capability is highly sought after for delivery of signalling projects in NSW.

    Joe has 14+ years engineering experience. His expertise is in Functional Specifications, User Requirements, Microlok, ATP/AMS, Scheme Developments, Infrastructure Strategies, and Design Management.

  • Colin Oxborrow - Senior Signal Design Engineer, Design Verifier & Principles Tester

    With over 26 years in the Railway Signalling Industry, Colin’s wealth of experience extends to the Design, Review and Independent Verification of all aspects of Signalling Design. He has recently undertaken design reviews for the GLRL and Auburn Stage10 (LGCUP) projects (including the production of Control Tables in XML format using the latest version of EGG1648). In addition to his experience at Auburn Junction, Colin undertook the XML Control Tables Difference Listing works, developing a procedure to enable changes to be tracked on XML Control Tables. Colin previously worked for Rail Corp as a Design Verifier. He is Subject Matter Expert of ATP / AMS & ETCS.

  • Steve Polkinghorne - Signals Manager

    Steven has professional multidisciplinary engineering experience in the field of maintenance, faulting, testing and installation. Planning, documenting, directing and resourcing defined inspection and testing activities on new or altered signalling works (both CBI and Relay based). He has carried out inspection and testing of new or altered signalling works to confirm that the installed signalling control functions work in accordance with the approved design and applicable standards. He is well versed in the mechanical installation, set-up, testing and maintenance of a variety of point machines and in set to work, testing and certification of AZLM type Axle Counters.

    Stuart has over 30 years experience in the railway Signalling industry and specialising in testing. His expertise ranges from testing management, liaising between design,installation,testing teams and the client. He also has extensive experience in developing testing documentation for testing of equipment as a functional tester.     Paul is an experienced Professional Railway Engineering Manager with more than 50 years experience in rail signalling, mostly with a major government rail organisation. He is a specialist in signalling technology, standards development, evaluation of equipment and rolling stock, incident investigation and signalling competency management.
    Paul has special expertise in the fields of train detection systems and traction return, level crossing protection and signalling power systems.

    Over 23 years experience in the signalling and communications area. Has managed teams of up to 35 people whilst working as District Engineer of SRA / RailCorp. Has been responsible for renewal of signalling assets in State Rail Authority, managed the signalling construction program and construction teams to ensure construction is as per design and program schedule.

    Joseph has 40+ years of experience in Railway Industry. His main involvement over the years has been in the numerous aspects of Program/Project Management, Planning, Testing & Commissioning, and Construction management of both Signalling and Multi-discipline projects. Joseph was responsible for the management and delivery of Programs/Projects from the concept stage to the finalisation stage. He has carried out various duties such as a Program Delivery Manager, Project Delivery Manager, Project Director, Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Test Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, Superintendent, Signal Supervisor Electrical, Signal Electrician I|C Construction, Signal Electrician, and Electrical Mechanic.

    James has 15 years of experience overall working on several high-level critical projects with multi-disciplines and high complexity. He has supervised and coached staff, overseeing work completed, building the skills required to develop internal expertise and ensuring that staff are adequately trained to perform. James has worked as a tester, project engineer and project manager during his career both in the UK and Australia.

  • Matthew Ward - Testing & Commissioning Engineer

    Matt has over 10 years of experience in the railway signalling industry. He has experience as a commissioning engineer, performing tasks such as managing and supporting pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of various projects, test and commission safety critical signalling upgrades, and providing multidiscipline technical and commissioning input to project teams. Matt has also planned, managed and delivered construction and commissioning activities of a $15M program, as well as produced multi-discipline project scopes, schedules and estimates.

    Glenn has over 45 years of signalling and train control systems experience gained through his years in the Victorian Public Transport Corporation, Alstom, Thiess, MTM, and many other organisations. Over past and recent years the Department of Transport (DOI, DOT), Regional Fast Trains Project-RFR, Regional Rail Link Authority (RRLA) and along with many other companies and consulting businesses. He has extensive knowledge within all of Victoria, and elsewhere with intimate knowledge of the Melbourne Metropolitan Rail Systems, plus experience in all areas of railway signalling and related fields. Moreover, an understanding of how to utilise system integration and interfacing of the old to the new and future technology.

    Bruce has extensive knowledge and experience in Signal Engineering, Project Management, and Communications network construction. Bruce had more than 40 years’ service with the NSW railways working in both Signal maintenance and construction. Bruce has managed significant projects through concept, design, construction, testing and commissioning. Bruce has worked as a project director leading a team of communication project managers expanding and renewing the railway communications backbone and network.

    Andrew has over 35 years rail experience working on multidiscipline signalling and construction projects. Detailed understanding and management of a projects “Whole of life” cycle from concept to revenue service. The extensive experience has been applied to the overall safe turn key management of several large projects; controlling and estimating project budgets, commercial/contractual negotiations/interface, development of open communications with all stakeholders, champion client satisfaction and build customer relationships, risk assessments, document and program development, staff training and management, Safety/Environment/Quality compliance management, construction implementation to agreed standards, commissioning coordination, project finalisation/document handover and client maintenance post commissioning.

Jonna has designed Signalling Plans, Control Tables, Circuits, Track Insulation Plans, Cable Plans, Power Distribution, Control Distribution and Signalling/ATP Functional Specifications. Her experience also includes managing and commissioning of signalling systems of numerous signalling projects, ETCS (Level 1 Full Supervision/Limited Supervision) and ATP systems.
