The primary purpose of this role is to carry out detailed signaling designs and assist with signaling projects. Provide technical support, mentoring, and advice as required in support of the business.

Responsibilities: 

• Producing detailed signaling designs
• Implement design scope in accordance with company standards and procedures
• Provide technical guidance and working with the team to ensure that technical queries are resolved satisfactorily
• Assist with the planning and management of projects including time and resource allocation
• Providing support / mentoring to assistant designers ensuring that they fully understand the signaling design scope.
• Attend in-house and external training sessions for your own IRSE log book update for review
• Liaise with Group Leaders, Senior Engineers or Engineers and other discipline members of project team on project specifications and requirements to establish a shared understanding of design scope, budget, time constraints, success indicators, quality, environmental and safety standards, and perform design tasks accordingly.
• Contribute to team success by following project plans and scheduled works for projects to ensure they are completed in a financially responsible manner, to time, cost, quality and safety standards, and satisfying client requirements.
• Assist Group Leaders to resolve problems related to technical specifications, safety, quality, environmental and resourcing by following established procedures to minimize the impact on the delivery of design projects.
• Knowledge of RRI, SSI or Mechanical systems ideally all three.
• Compliance with Standards, Specification, Work Scope 
• Compliance with Quality, Competency, OHS, Environmental and Safety requirements 
• Ability to work without supervision and in a team work environment 
• Follow up clients and stakeholders to ensure the timely approvals of designs / documents submitted

Skills & Qualification

Electrical Engineer Degree or Diploma holder

Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineers (Rail Engineering)
Sydney

Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers are required to plan, coordinate and manage rail engineering projects activities to achieve project deliverables as per agreed scope, time and budget from start to completion as per client standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review of Scope, Budget and Program
• Schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project. 
• Experience of P6 / MS Project
• Performance management of vendors / suppliers / sub-contractors
• Assure the accuracy of financial forecasts, which tie-in to project schedules.

Principles Signal Engineer / Senior Signal Design Engineers
India (Thane, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru)

Primary Role

The main purpose of this role is to manage and be responsible for checking and verification of detailed signalling designs and support / manage signalling projects. Provide technical support, mentoring and advice as required in support of the business. Ensure that all work is delivered in accordance with technical, safety and quality standards.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements

• Significant Experience (10-15 Years) in all aspects of Signalling Design and Implementation of Signalling Systems including but not limited to:

1.  Production, Checking and Approval of feasibility studies, Signalling Functional Specifications, Concept Designs, outline and detailed Signalling Principles Designs and calculations.

• Must hold IRSE License for Signalling Principles Design Engineers 1.1.550D and Signalling Verifiers 1.1.160v3 at CRE Level, or equivalent experience as a minimum.
• Design, Checking and Verifying of Signalling Circuits, Signalling Plans, Power Calculations, Control Tables, Bonding Plans, Location / REB / Relay Rooms Designs, Data
• A full understanding of the Engineering life cycle and its processes.
• knowledge of current signalling design processes.
• Extensive knowledge of Rail standards (Network Rail / Australia / NZ).
• Able to lead the production team of signalling designers, can resolve all the queries raised by them with his knowledge and experience, and act as an independent verifier of the designs produced.
• Able to provide resource estimates to the Design Manager.
• Able to act as a Mentor to members if the signalling design staff as directed.
• Able to communicate effectively and establish good relationships with other team members and with other disciplines and peers.
• Professional qualification to Chartered Engineer level.
• Knowledge of contractual conditions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications Requirements:

• Engineering Degree or equivalent preferably electronics or electrical. Diploma holders with relevant experience will also be considered.

As Project Manager you will be involved with the development of a project management system across the program, management of re-signalling projects including preparation and reviewing project plans. You will be expected to input into technical meetings to ensure project milestones are met.

Responsibilities

• Plan and undertake administration of contracts, rail projects and support services within the Company.
• Have an excellent working knowledge of Signalling systems, rail operations and interfaces
• Liaise and assist with the design office and field staff.
• Estimate, forecast, monitor budgets and cashflow
• Manage Program using P6 / MS Project
• Investigate and develop technical solutions for signalling system
• Assist with the development of project scope documents as applicable including cost estimates, project delivery models, and execution strategies.

Description

The JMDR Project HSEQ Advisor role will be required to assist in all aspects of safely delivering project works. This will include site safety management as well as being responsible for assisting the development and successful accreditation of the JMDR HSEQ Management System ensuring compliance to current releases of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.

The Advisor will also be expected to support Continuous Improvement in service and business performance in terms of Safety and Environment. The position monitors and makes recommendations on the internal HSEQ Systems to the Project Management Team.

The position will report to the HSEQ Manager – ANZ, with additional project tasking by the Senior Project Manager, when allocated to Projects.

The base salary band will be between $80,000 and $100,000 depending on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality and timely safety advice to front line managers to help them manage in accordance with JMDR safety related plans and procedures.
• Assist the project’s compliance with relevant legislation including Regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards by adherence to the policies and procedures referred to in JMDR’s SMP.
• Ensure compliance with client WHS and Rail Safeworking requirements.
• Consultation and review of all safeworking plans and implement in accordance with Rail Safeworking requirements.
• Manage compliance of RIW requirements of staff on site to ensure assigned roles are correct and relevant to the works being completed.
• Posting, updating and removing, as required, all policies, forms and notices on notice boards, in crib rooms, site offices.
• Distributing to relevant personnel any revisions or amendments to the company’s safety documentation e.g. policies, plans, procedures, guidelines, forms etc.
• Distributing safety alerts and circulars for industry related incidents concerning health and safety.
• Participate in weekly team meetings to identify WHS and rehabilitation issues.
• Assisting the Health and Safety Manager and the project management team with safety advice, information and support where requested – including reviews of SWMS, safety documentation, higher risk activities prior to work commencing.
• Assisting key partners with information about the JMDR safety system and standards.
• Distributing approved "health and safety reports” to all relevant personnel where requested.
• Support personnel charged with WHS responsibilities with appropriate training and mentoring to adequately perform their duties.
• Ensuring that all personnel employed or engaged on site understand and observe JMDR WHS policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular drug and alcohol testing on all staff and key partners/suppliers.
• Assisting in the review of the site induction for compliance with regulatory requirements, JMDR requirements and the specific Client’s Project requirements.
• Assist the Safety Manager in monitoring that WHS incidents are adequately reported, recorded and investigated and the outcomes and recommendations of such investigations are actioned and reported using the processes of the JMDR Incident and Injury Management Procedure.
• Establishment and supporting the maintenance of Hazardous Chemicals Register/s through ChemAlert.
• Carrying out and participating in site inspections, audits and reviews.
• Monitoring that health and safety inspections on the Project are being conducted in accordance with agreed time frames or as required.
• Performing random or periodic safety audits on subcontractors and suppliers (as required).
• Supporting and participating in risk assessments for construction activities.
• Assist in the review of design changes (where required) and ensure safety hazards have been considered and managed where variations are to occur that have given rise to new safety hazards or risks.

Knowledge / Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience in providing project based safe systems of work
• Proven ability to oversee the safety management of a number of projects, people and programs simultaneously
• Demonstrated ability to assist the development and/or maintenance of an accredited HSEQ System
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate procedural compliance with the Work Health & Safety Act to achieve a safe workplace
• Proven experience in the use of Microsoft Office products
• Proven experience in providing safety advice to all levels of the workforce
