JMDR has started to grow in the Singapore market and recently, we have been assisting with Principles Testing for the re-signalling on Singapore’s North – South and East – West lines. This endeavour employs Thales PMI Interlocking to reduce headways and allow conversion to driverless (CBTC) operation over the entire length of the NSEW lines, which includes 62 stations. In addition to the driverless operation, a ‘fallback’ mode is also provided to allow trains to be driven manually using lineside signals with supervision provided by on board ATP.
