TLIF2080 Safely access the rail corridor
(for Rail Industry Worker Card)


We are an Approved Training Provider (under the Approved Training Program (ATP)) for Transport for New South Wales, and are licensed to deliver TLIF2080 Safely access the rail corridor which meets the requirements to work on the TfNSW Realm. This training is designed for workers who are required to perform work in the rail corridor. It provides an understanding of rail terminology, basic signalling indications, rules and regulations for people working in the rail corridor, knowledge of a safe place, electrical safety, personal & legal requirements of fatigue, drugs and alcohol.

Learner’s will be required to report verbally, relay and discuss information, identify hazards, read safety signs and procedures and must have adequate core skills in communication and numeracy and able to learn, read, and write.

Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)
(for Rail Industry Worker Card)

This course provides new and existing building and construction industry participants with the introductory understanding and knowledge needed to commence or continue work in the building and construction industry and is a mandatory nationally recognised unit of competency to gain a Rail industry Worker Card. It provides an introductory understanding and the knowledge needed to commence or continue work in the building and construction industry.

At the completion of the course participants will be able to:

  • Determine and apply basic risk management concepts in relation to construction type work
  • Read, interpret and apply all safety instructions as required
  • Identify and follow standard work procedures in the event of an emergency
  • Report hazards and potential workplace incidents to appropriate personnel
  • Determine their roles, rights and responsibilities under law
